This phenomenon has sparked online discussions about whether a copycat bag can match the appeal of the original, particularly given the strong demand for the Walmart version, which has reportedly sold out in several markets.

One thing's for sure: Unpacking the Walmart Birkin controversy isn't as simple as a "What's in My Bag" tour. But the following is a start.

What Is the Walmart Birkin?

Whether you're carrying one or not, the "Wirkin" isn't going to trick the trained eye. In no way affiliated with the original designer, the bag comes from four third-party sellers listed within Walmart's online store, including Judy, Kamugo, Bestspr, and Ymtq. Why Is the Walmart Birkin Controversial?

Let's start with prices. Wirkin supporters say their discount find undermines the sky-high prices of the original Birkin. Other fashion voices, like critic and stylist @jesicaelise, disagree. Hermès's products are what economists call Veblen goods: Items that experience an increase in demand as their prices rise. Shoppers are more willing to pursue them explicitly because they're exclusive.

For Hermès, what the bag stands for is as important as the bag itself: Birkin bags are handmade in France and created for a hyper-specific client living at the upper-upper echelons of Hollywood, business, and media. Each bag is crafted by artisans who spend several years in training; they're meant to be cherished. The Wirkin, meanwhile, is mass-produced and not necessarily from traceable materials; it's made for someone who wants to dip into the feeling of carrying a Birkin à la J.Lo without living the actual lifestyle. The Wirkin, in other words, is repackaging a fraction of what the Birkin actually offers—hence the extreme difference in cost. (Or, as one TikTok commenter wrote under an unboxing video: "We all broke but we still deserve to look cute too.")

Further, critics point out that a Wirkin is, actually, quite easy to ID. Shoppers might be telling on themselves for carrying a counterfeit based on the rest of their outfit's styling, the place they're carrying the bag, or how the bag holds up over time.

This point gestures at the bigger issue at play: the complex relationship between luxury and accessibility. Desire for a well-crafted, competent handbag isn't dependent on tax bracket. But the Hermès Birkin (and its sister bag, the Kelly) is purposefully exclusive. So far, Hermès hasn't acknowledged its superstore counterpart in any official capacity. If it does, it might be through its lawyers. WWD reports that there are substantive grounds for the luxury house to seek legal action against Walmart for infringing on its copyright. “To the extent Walmart is promoting the bag as the equivalent of, or an alternative to, the Birkin bag, it would be hard for them to deny that intentional copying,” fashion lawyer Douglas Hand told the outlet.

Shopping for a gently used Birkin bag is a different story. Luxury consignors have benefitted from the lore around "beat-up Birkins"—that is, bags whose leather has developed a patina. Sites including eBay, Fashionphile, The RealReal, FWRD, and Vestiaire Collective have authenticators dedicated to sourcing authentic Birkin bags in need of a second home. These listings typically retain their value, selling for just as much as (if not more than) a fresh handbag.

There's another place to track down a previously loved Birkin bag if you're up for it: Walmart itself. The retailer has quietly listed pre-owned luxury items in a special section of its site, just a few clicks away from its controversial Wirkins.

I've learned that you don't have to do a major overhaul to make a big difference in your wardrobe and that investing in higher-quality pieces does the trick. Think: soft cashmere sweaters, warm wool coats, and luxe black boots. Couple these items with a few trendier finds like leather gloves and a knitted cape, and you've got a winter capsule wardrobe that feels both elevated and fresh for the new year. What's better, I've discovered that all of these pieces can now be found on sale from brands like Reformation, Everlane, and more.

These finds will amp up my winter outfits with little effort. The best part is that they all ring in at $300 (or less!), with the majority coming in at under $200—what an amazing way to kick off the new year.

On Jan. 2, the footwear-trend whisperer went out for dinner at the West Hollywood restaurant Zinqué with a close group of friends. Angelina Jolie is the epitome of "woke up like this." She looked so effortlessly cool at the 1998 Emmys, wearing a flesh-toned gown with glittery embellishments by Randolph Duke Couture. Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Dua Lipa got engaged to her boyfriend Callum Turner over the Christmas holiday. It's been several days now, but neither side has confirmed or denied the impending nuptials. Lipa did, however, post an incredibly pointed photo dump featuring a sparkling diamond ring.

In the pictures, published on New Year's Eve, Lipa is wearing a black lace catsuit for a night out with friends. Three out of 11 photos show her holding a dirty martini toward the camera—diamond ring in full view. Considering the timing, and the fact that her jewelry of choice typically includes a $83,000 Tiffany & Co. necklace, this accessory feels particularly noteworthy.

The sparkler in question appears to be a signet-style diamond ring on a chunky, yellow gold band—a decidedly modern pick, if it is, in fact, an engagement ring.

Statement bands have been trending in the engagement space for a minute, now—ever since Emily Ratajkowski showed off her handmade cigar wedding band in 2018. The choice influenced an entire generation of brides to consider more non-traditional engagement styles— which, in turn, brought unexpected styles, like the signet, into the mainstream.

A few slides later, Lipa also showed off the rest of her look (even if she's not affianced, at least we got a quality fashion moment out of it). The "Dance the Night" singer styled her lace onesie with a black mini dress, for a delightful layering moment. Beyond her maybe-engagement ring, Lipa styled the sultry look with matching black pumps, which featured a crimson red ankle strap detail.

Engagement or not, you've got to admit: that's one gorgeous ring.

Lopez has spent the last week putting her own stamp on the Western aesthetic. Her take has been decidedly down-to-earth, focussing primarily on wearable ranch hand staples and functional fabrics. Naturally, all this cowgirl energy manifested the OG equestrian babe, who promptly stepped out to show us all how it's done.

On Dec. 30, the First Lady of Rodeo was photographed on date night with boyfriend Adan Banuelos. As usual, she was dressed in early 2000s regalia that featured a subtle notes of Western flavor. She wore a navy blue bodycon dress, with sheer tights and a pair of knee-high patchwork boots (vintage, by the looks of it). She then topped with a sheepskin Penny Lane coat, adding a necessary layer of insulation.

Once it came time to add accessories, Hadid's country girl style really began to rear its head. She layered on several gold statement necklaces, including: a flat snake chain, a sodalite-embellished pendant, and a medallion style that mimicked the shape of a rodeo belt buckle. Her handbag, too featured a bit of subtle Western flare; The leather hobo bag had a studded strap, which made of what looks to be spotted calf hair.

Hadid's navy-and-espresso color story was the perfect compliment to her boyfriend's laid-back 'fit. Banuelos layered a brown plaid shirt-jacket over a navy button-down. Ever the Southern boy, he merchandized country-style, with blue cowboy boots and a baseball cap to match.

But by mid-2024, nearly all of street style seemed united in supporting once-polarizing shoes. And Hollywood shoe-connoisseurs led the charge.

First came the mesh flat trend, surging to the top of Lyst's Hottest Items Indexes for several quarters in 2023 with help from Alaïa and The Row. Their versions most often ended up on the feet of Hollywood's elite—Zendaya, Jennifer Lawrence, and Anne Hathaway were a few of their biggest fans—and down-market options soon followed in those designers' footsteps once the initial shock wore off.

Then came 2024's jelly sandal trend, reinvented by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's The Row in the form of a latticed, $890 flat and once again embraced almost immediately by Jennifer Lawrence—and then all the Substack cognoscenti. The Row's version sold out with versions from Coach, Melissa, and Loeffler Randall hot on their heels.

Mesh flats and jelly sandals traded on early-aughts nostalgia with modern, elevated upgrades. Versions that were popular way-back-when had floral embellishments or glitter mixed into their PVC plastic. 2024's renditions got a little more serious with solid colors and streamlined, foot-hugging shapes. They were also, as reviewers who'd been convinced to show their toes noted, quite breathable during the height of summer while feeling more formal than a flip-flop. By August, mesh flats and jelly sandals didn't read like controversial trends; they were just a trend, period.

When the Spring 2025 runways came around in September, designers decided the time was right to push their foot-first agenda even further. Enter: the runway's naked shoe trend. Stars like Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian had already treated clear, PVC-based footwear as a window to their pedicures. (In Lopez's case, pairing naked shoes to loud leopard coats or her collection of rare Birkin bags.) Brandon Maxwell, Tibi, and Alaïa were among the labels who agreed clear shoes had a runway beyond the A-list.

In the front row at fashion week, no one shuddered at the sight of a sock revealed in a clear boot or a pedicure on display under a transparent mule. The response was more, "I'll wear what she's wearing!"

Normalizing previously controversial shoe trends didn't stop with naked styles. The formerly divisive, cleft-toed Tabi looked less so with every 2024 sighting, from Zendaya's Tabi boots on a Nordstrom run to Lily-Rose Depp's Tabi flats and pumps traipsing about Los Angeles. Daisy Edgar-Jones bared some toe cleavage in a pair of nude pumps with a slit revealing a sliver of her burgundy pedicure earlier this month; Tory Burch's entire Spring 2025 New York Fashion Week front row endorsed ballerinas with a pierced toe box.

What happened in shoe trends this year happened in ready-to-wear and handbags before: With time, exposure, and a few well-placed celebrity endorsements, previously polarizing footwear started to look a lot more, well, normal. Seeing a few toes wasn't all that scary when they were, technically, encased in fabric—even if it was see-through. In fact, some editors found the look sexier than the underwear-as-pants trend or an actual naked dress.

But for the sake of shoe designers—and hygiene—let's not agree to go completely barefoot by 2025.

The impressive trifecta of vacation memory-making came Friday evening, when the Unstoppable actress was spotted on an outing to western apparel store/Aspen celebrity hot spot Kemo Sabe. According to the Daily Mail, Lopez was out shopping with her 16-year-old child, Emme when she apparently ran into another famous patron at the store—Kevin Costner.

Lopez and the Yellowstone actor were seen sharing a drink at the store's bar, where Oliver Hudson reportedly played bartender for them.

For the shopping trip, Lopez looked like the definition of cozy comfort in a black Moncler Grenoble Hand-Embroidered Alpaca & Wool Polo Neck Jumper that retails for $1,740. She accessorized the sweater with a pair of Chanel CC earrings and a casual top knot that fit easily under Kemo Sabe's iconic cowboy hats, which the singer was photographed trying on during the outing.

Speaking of Kemo Sabe's iconic cowboy hats, Lopez was seen wearing her own custom Stetson 20X Gus hat from the store during the shopping excursion.

Retailing for $750, Kemo Sabe's 20X Gus Hat is an Aspen classic, handmade in the United States from high-quality 20X quality beaver fur felt and featuring a Gus crown. Even what you can't see on the Stetson is luxe, down to its interior leather sweatband and black silk lining (which, the store's website notes, is unique to Stetson 20X hats).

Lopez customized her Kemo Sabe Stetson with a shaft of turquoise and a black feather, according to the Daily Mail.

The Kemo Sabe shopping trip/impromptu celebrity happy hour came amid what's been an utterly luxurious Christmas vacation for Lopez and her family.

In addition to the amazing family photos she's shared to Instagram, Lopez has been seen out and about all over Aspen and showing of a winter wardrobe full of expensive Fair Isle sweaters and chunky winter boots.

Over the weekend Riri was in her truest form, tapping into all three of her favorite aesthetics for a quick trip to Target. On Dec. 29, the beauty mogul was photographed in NYC wearing a vintage leather jacket, styled with dramatic pops of faux fur. She wore a fluffy bucket hat on her head, while clutching a green fur bucket bag in her hands.

Though her accessories were decidedly high-fashion, the base of Rihanna's outfit was pretty typical of a Sunday night Target run. She was dressed in loose-fit staples, including an oversized graphic tee and boyfriend jeans. Rihanna's shoes, meanwhile, belonged to her actual boyfriend, A$AP Rocky (these two love a good matching shoe moment).

The rapper has worn these exact shoes—a pair of $1,400 Bottega Veneta boots from the men's department—on several occasions, even starring in the label's 2023 campaign promoting their release. A$AP's styling wasn't too far off in the photos—he also wore them with medium-wash jeans. But instead of topping with a T-shirt, like Riri, he layered two contrasting denim shirts.

The high-end footwear was a theme of Rihanna's weekend style. She wore the same Haddock boots the day before, on Dec. 28. On this occasion, she paired them with baggy gray jeans and a matching hoodie, layered under a massive fur coat. Her handbag of the day—a woven patent leather bucket bag—was also from the brand.

They're a Bottega couple through and through.

On Sunday, Dec. 29, Lopez stepped out looking like a walking mood board for the aesthetic she inadvertently coined. She wore a cream-colored turtleneck sweater with a matching 10-gallon hat from Kemo Sabe. From there, Lopez went rustic, topping her winter whites with a navy blue barn jacket (a stable staple beloved by horse girls like Kendall Jenner and Queen Elizabeth II).

On bottom, the "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer chose another Western-inspired trend, wearing 2024's controversial barrel leg jeans. Jenny from the block looked like a bona fide cowgirl, styling her bow-legged pants with camel hiking boots from Brunello Cucinelli.

Compared to the space cowboy aesthetic popularized by Beyoncè, Lopez's look offers a down-to-earth take on the trend. It centers function-first fabrics, like denim, canvas, wool, and suede over metallics and over-the-top sparkle.

Though hers is a more authentic representation of what a Colorado ranch hand might wear in the winter cold, Lopez was still able to include her usual dose of luxury. Throughout the week, she styled seasonal picks—like fur-lined parkas and fluffy yeti boots—with high-end accessories, such as Chanel earrings and Princess Diana's favorite $5,500 designer handbag.

On Dec. 29, the pop star made an appearance on the Instagram of her bestie Ashley Avignone. The two linked up in celebration of Avignone's birthday, hugging in front of a sprinkle-covered cake. With their blonde hair and matching black 'fits, the two looked like twins, rather than friends.

Though Avignone was the woman of the hour, Swift made the whole place shimmer. She wore her signature, vivid red lip color (Pat McGrath's LiquiLust Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick, from the looks of it) and accessorized with the sparkly Cartier watch Travis Kelce reportedly bought her for Christmas.

Swift's timepiece—Cartier's famed Panthère De Cartier Watch—is made from 14k yellow gold and costs a cool $32,200 at retail. The extravagant design matched perfectly with the $36,000 diamond earrings she wore that same night.

The watch is a signature Cartier design, originally created in the 1980s. Since then, it's become one of the fine jeweler's most recognizable designs. With 40 brilliant-cut stones set around its square face, Swift's watch truly brings the lyric "a diamond's gotta shine," to life.

Though a five-figure watch is something the rest of us could only dream of, the gift makes up just one small fraction of the $175k Kelce reportedly spent on Swift this holiday season. He also bought her $19k worth of roses, $45k in Tiffany & Co. jewels, $48k of Van Cleef & Arpels, and another high-end timepiece (a $60,350 rose gold style from Rolex). He really took "bejeweled" to a whole new level.

Kim Kardashian posted the final proofs on Instagram on Dec. 29, bringing a bit of joy to the limbo week between Christmas and New Year. She and her four kids, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West, all posed in front of a massive snow-covered pine tree wearing coordinating holiday 'fits.

Dressed in varying shades of red and black, each family member brought their own specific brand of style to the mix. The boys were dressed in their streetwear best, while North put a twist on the black-tie dress code, in a collared bustier, bubble skirt, and knee-high yeti boots.

Kim and Chi stood out as the only two dressed in red. Kardashian wore a simple satin column dress, while her daughter was outfitted in red leather. Though Chicago's outfit was undeniably unique, it was actually a repeat of another look her mom wore earlier this month. Kim wore a nearly-identical crimson creation two weeks prior at the SKIMS company holiday party.

Her dress was another Ludovic de Saint Sernin design, which featured the same lace-up neckline and festive hue. Kardashian's however, was a floor-length column style, similar to the look she'd later wear in the family photos. She posted both outfits on her Instagram Stories, calling Chi her "twin."

Looks like we've got another Kardashian family fashionista on our hands.

Zendaya's best red carpet fashion of 2024 cast her as more than a style icon or a devout student of runway history; she's a style chameleon. She made more than 50 red carpet appearances covered by Marie Claire editors this year—and she was readers' most-viewed celebrity when we did. She and image architect Law Roach wrote the book on smart method dressing, dipping into revered runway collections and crafting custom Loewe, Louis Vuitton, and Bottega Veneta pieces (among others) to reference her roles in the sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two and the tennis throuple drama Challengers. She co-chaired the 2024 Met Gala; she got a gold medal in street style at the Paris Olympics. Across every single appearance, her outfit was the most highly anticipated by a mile.

Zendaya's best red carpet fashion stood out for its sheer fearlessness. Some A-listers get comfortable in a sequin peplum gown or a skintight naked dress and never look back. Zendaya, meanwhile, kept viewers on their toes while pushing her own boundaries. From afar, she seemed to embrace glitchy Givenchy cyborg suits (for Dune), tennis-ball greens and Wimbledon whites by Loewe, Thom Browne, and Calvin Klein (for Challengers) and Shakespearean Vivienne Westwood gowns (for just a night out in London) with equal enthusiasm. She even wore a metal—real metal!—cyborg suit from Mugler, just to show her dedication to Dune's futuristic aesthetic.

Even if back-to-back appearances came with pieces designed by the same house, they never looked exactly the same. Her looks varied in shape, texture, and associated glam, but she made the head-to-toe commitment to each, switching out her manicure or dyeing her hair to best accentuate the dress (or suit). She also took the time to champion smaller designers alongside LVMH-backed names, such as the experimental Torishéju Dumi or the Greek couture house Celia Kritharoti.

It's a testament to her red carpet prowess that no one detects the red carpet anxiety she often gets beneath all the wigs, makeup, and gravity-defying dresses. She copped to feeling hesitation toward some looks in her Vanity Fair cover story interview this fall. But ultimately, she said, these outfits are a form of armor and a form of getting into character; she can't help but commit to the bit. "I also think that fashion, in many ways, is a tool for me. I consider myself a shyer person, which I guess you wouldn’t quite realize from the crazy, sometimes ridiculous things that I wear," she said.

Objectively, anyone wearing a suit made of metal or a dress that's nearly a century old is going to get headlines. But Zendaya and Roach also stood out among a recent archival fashion surge because they do their research. The pieces they pick out derive from collections with aesthetic ties to the event they're attending or the project Zendaya is promoting. And, the pair supports vintage collectors in the process. "We don't borrow," Roach famously told Vogue during the Dune promotional cycle, "we buy."

These choices feel even more authentic to Zendaya considering that they aren't limited to a single press tour or red carpet. Co-chairing the 2024 Met Gala—a few months after the Dune and Challengers frenzies—Zendaya wore several archival looks befitting the "Garden of Time" theme. Before she even stepped on the museum steps wearing Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano (which was itself inspired by a 1999 Dior piece) she was dropping hints about her look in a vintage floral pre-Met Gala John Galliano dress. She followed up her first dress with a second Galliano design, dated to his tenure at Givenchy during the mid-1990s.

Later in the year, Z paid homage to Cher in a vintage Bob Mackie naked dress circa 2001. The shimmering champagne gown, and its white leather overcoat, were nods to a Cher Show performance from the 1970s. Each of these fashion moments came with hair and makeup to emphasize the dress—and the original context it was worn in.

No one can accuse a Zendaya look's history of overshadowing the look itself. Nothing the actress wears ever wears her, whether it's glittering Armani Privé for the 2024 Oscars or off-the-runway Burberry for a promotional appearance. She and Roach have the range to go subdued or over-the-top, colorful or stark black-and-white, decades-old vintage or brand-new custom. Each distinct look works because it achieves the same end—showcasing Zendaya's leading-lady poise and fashion appreciation—through different means.

Designers have taken notice beyond opening their archives for Roach and Zendaya to raid as much as they please. After years of dedicated commitment to wearing Christian Louboutin's "So Kate" heels, the label is releasing a "Miss Z" pump in Zendaya's honor next year. Louis Vuitton has recently tapped Z to be its ambassador, dressing her for Paris Fashion Week (her one and only front row this past season), tapping her for a long-awaited, early-aughts-coded collab campaign with Takashi Murakami, and even creating bespoke burgundy outfits for her date nights with Tom Holland. When Z likes a house, she wears it frequently and authentically to her personal style. That kind of genuine brand loyalty feels rare while other celebs fleetingly buy into the loud luxury trend.

Seven years ago, when Zendaya was only 21, she appeared on Marie Claire's September 2018 cover in conversation with Janet Mock. She discussed how shaping her style with Roach helped her shape her professional identity at a critical time in her career: the years of early adulthood as she transitioned from child star to capital-A actress. "I wanted to create who I was as a person outside of my Disney character. Fashion helped with that," she said. "My stylist, Law Roach, and I created a world beyond what I was known as through clothes."

No one thinks "former Disney star" when they think of Zendaya now. She's been in too many other projects, and turned too many advanced looks, to be left with only that epithet. Whether audiences associate her most with Tashi Duncan, Chani of Arrakis, Euphoria's Rue Bennett, or the MJ to Tom Holland's Spiderman, they definitely know her as red carpet fashion's MVP now.

Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet is never boring when he hits the red carpet, and he never skips the accessory (which is one of the reasons he's such a fashion force). This is the Bones & All premiere at the BFI London Film Festival (2022); Chalamet plays a dark, complicated character so his white suit and lug, square-toed boots also offer a nice contrast.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift will break out some daring footwear depending on the context, and this (the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards) is the perfect context for it. Swift likes to play with bold accessories—look at those gloves!—but what's nice is that the boots also offer more coverage over the knee.

David Furnish

Who says women get to have all the fun? Here attending the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party in 2015, David Furnish breaks out a stylish pair of gold shoes. This was before the "daring men's fashion red carpet look" had reached mainstream in the U.S., so the gorgeous metallic touch was a nice surprise.

Tang Wei

Take a gorgeous two-toned gown (this is at the Decision To Leave (Heojil Kyolshim) screening at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival) and add a pair of extremely casual lace-up boots, and you've got a brilliant contrast in tone. Cannes is the place to be daring, and Tang Wei takes it there.

Sienna Miller

Sienna Miller has excellent style, both in red carpet outfits and street style (which can be hard to pull off). That's because she has a cohesive aesthetic—polished with a vintage feel. She's evolved her boho-chic style to include slouchy boots like this in amongst her lacy, delicate pieces.

Andra Day

This gorgeous, tie-dye-esque boots on Andra Day (this is at the The Deliverance premiere in 2024) is part of a complete head-to-toe outfit. This is why footwear is so important; the look would be great with black shoes, but keeping the color story going adds so much more.

Madonna

Madonna is always pushing the envelope, and that includes in her footwear. This is at the The Beatles: Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years premiere, and the music icon is wearing wildly tall booties. The '10s saw some sky-high stilettos, but Madonna is (as ever) going farther than anyone else.

Kim Petras

Kim Petras, German singer-songwriter, is wearing some of the best bedazzled booties the Met Gala has ever seen. (The theme was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," and the black-and-white was very thematic for the evening.) The high hemline lets these wearable works of art steal the show.

Kristen Stewart

The pair were spotted out on back-to-back date nights Friday and Saturday in New York City, and they were couples fashion goals both times. On Friday, they were like academia aesthetic mood board come to life for a double date with Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley, both wearing brown jackets over black knits, and on Saturday, they complemented each other perfectly in a red and black Kansas City Chiefs palette.

Kelce stood out in a $1,670 matching red waxed denim jacket and jeans set from Nahmias that he paired with a white logo-print Saint Michael T-shirt, $1, 530 Louis Vuitton X Timberland Ranger boots, a Nahmias Miracle Way Trucker Hat, and $975 burgundy Jacques Marie Mage Alin sunglasses, according to People.

It's something many have attempted, but few have mastered. This weekend, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce checked one more box on their "Become a Undisputeable Power Couple" bingo card when they proved they earned a spot in the elusive latter category for their coordinated date night look in shades of brown, gold, and black.

The pair's master class in coordinating couple fashion came Friday night, when they were spotted enjoying a double date in New York City with Swift's frequent collaborator, Jack Antonoff, and his wife, actress Margaret Qualley. As Sarah Chapelle, who runs the popular @taylorswiftstyled Instagram account and literally wrote the book on Swift's style evolution noted in her post about the outfit, the "Fortnight" singer turned to one of her longtime favorite's for the oversized blazer at the center of the look.

"Since 2019, Taylor has had a strong relationship with British designer Stella McCartney. Their connection even spawned a collab for Taylor’s album Lover," Chapelle wrote. Every winter, like clockwork, Holmes breaks out her most trusted outerwear to take on New York City's bitter cold. Even today, these whimsical pieces are difficult to find on the second-hand market, due to unyielding demand from fashion collectors. It's this prolonged popularity that has reunited the two fashion names, once more, some 20 years later. According to a press release, this will entail a "re-edition collection" which "reimagines and updates" the original early-'00s creations. And who better to promote it than Hollywood's resident queen of archival, Zendaya?

After subtly teasing the announcement for weeks, carrying handbags from the unreleased collection, Zendaya starred in the renewed Louis Vuitton x Murakami campaign. The longtime Louis Vuitton ambassador wore separates from the massive 200-piece selection, including a $515 printed scarf tied around her neck as a halter top.

Whereas Ugg's trendy platform styles and shearling-lined slippers enjoyed an instantaneous boom during and after the pandemic—a period that led many to prioritize comfort wherever possible—Birkenstock's climb to It-shoe status has been more of a slow burn. Gradually stoked by lucrative collaborations with the likes of Manolo Blahnik, Jil Sander, Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens, Staud, and Tekla, the brand now seems ready to claim its rightful place on the ugly shoe throne.

The cream-colored creation was from Phoebe Philo's latest collection and costs a cool $3,900 (a merry Christmas, indeed).

Though decidedly elegant from the front, the back of Jenner's dress was much edgier. It had a daring open back, knotted stain ribbon detailing, and an avant-garde neckline that mimicked a classic crew neck.

Styled by Dani Michelle, Jenner's accessories included black pointed-toe pumps and the designer earrings that have topped every fashion editor's wishlist for years: Bottega Veneta's Large Drop Earrings. Retailing for $1,400, the earrings are characterized by their oversized, bubble teardrop shape—which just so happens to resemble festive Christmas baubles.

While most people associate Christmastime with songs like "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and "Jingle Bell Rock," Jennifer Lopez's holiday celebrations brought a very different classic to mind: "Low" by Flo Rida.

Indeed, 2023 was a monument to disjointedness. But 2024 emerged from the wreckage strangely optimistic and baggage-free. For the best celebrity couples of 2024, this year was all about embracing the thrill of mutual obsession with matching outfits.

Take Bella Hadid and her rodeo star boyfriend Adan Banuelos, for example. It became clear these two were getting serious when the supermodel quietly moved to Texas. Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper took their relationship public not with a joint red carpet appearance, but a series of casually-dressed outings that often featured pieces from the model’s cashmere knitwear line, Guest in Residence. After making their love Erewhon-official in sweatpants at the end of October, Hadid was spotted matching her cherry red sweater to his crewneck T-shirt in November.

That same sense of safety and coziness comes across in Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s couple style. In November, just ahead of their one-year anniversary and subsequent engagement, the lovebirds stepped out for a dinner date at Sushi Park in matching clogs.

In between backstage makeout sessions, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have been jet-setting in style together all year long. In March, their complementary travel outfits—built around sleek leather jackets—seemed to suggest the pop star and her actor beau have been living out of the same suitcase.

Likewise, Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal already seem to be borrowing clothes—or at least, style cues—from one another. In October, while the two were in town for the singer's back-to-back concerts at Radio City Music Hall, they embraced the graphic T-shirt revival in jeans and indie darling sunglasses.

Of course, compatibility looks different on everyone. In true WAG fashion, Tayor Swift never misses a chance to sport Travis Kelce’s team colors on game day. But even on nights when they’re free to showcase their respective personal styles, they end up dressing alike. For the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer's first time performing tracks from her genre-bending album live, stylist Shiona Turini dressed Beyoncé in pieces that could make the entire country say "Yeehaw!"

Beyoncé first rode into NRG Stadium on a white horse while singing "16 Carriages" and "Blackbird", matching her noble steed's white hair in a snowy feathered coat and white hat. Across her coat, she'd fastened a red, white, and blue Cowboy Carter sash set with glittering letters—to complement the miles of diamonds around her neck.

Once Beyoncé strutted out onto the field, she pulled off her feathered coat to reveal a Roberto Cavalli studded white, long-sleeve bodysuit and matching fringed chaps. Both pieces were coated in yards of rhinestones in a western pattern along the sides and front—and accentuated by an equally glittery Cowboy Carter rhinestone belt. Jeffrey Campbell cowboy boots completed her look.

The singer's entire cast of dancers, band, and surprise guests also dressed in snowflake white with smatterings of crystals. Her daughter, Blue Ivy, danced in white flare pants and a tank top; Post Malone joined her for "Levii's Jeans" in a white blazer and denim of his own. Tiera Kennedy, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Reyna Roberts also harmonized with Queen Bey at the start of her set, all in coordinating white hats and white corsets by Dolce & Gabbana.

Beyoncé teased her twist on Americana styling in several Netflix spots leading up to her Dec. 25 performance. In an ad released on Christmas Eve, she played the banjo in a glittering silver bustier and a red, white, and blue floral cape tied around her shoulders. Teasers in the weeks leading up to her performance also included an ice princess meets horse girl look by Atelier Biser, featuring a featured white coat and a matching snow white hat. (This earlier white look is, in hindsight, the clearest reference to her eventual halftime show outfit.)

Ever since releasing Cowboy Carter—technically, Act II of her Renaissance musical chapter—last March, Beyoncé and Turini have lassoed into her wardrobe high-fashion upgrades to cowgirl essentials. With the exception of the molten gold Balmain gown she wore to the Mufasa premiere, Beyoncé has largely treated surprise appearances and Instagram 'fit checks as a chance to trot out ten-gallon hats and studded leather pieces. Once memorable look for the iHeartRadio Music Awards involved a vintage Versace set laced with Coyote Ugly energy. She's also brought her yeehaw agenda to life with help from designers including Sergio Hudson, Ferragamo, and vintage Robert Cavalli.

With her Christmas Day performance now in her Cadillac's rearview mirror, Bey can turn her attention to her next highly anticipated event: the Feb. 2 Grammy Awards, where Beyoncé scored 11 nominations.

By midway through the second quarter at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA, Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce had made several big plays. (By the fourth quarter, he'd score a game-deciding touchdown.) Online, reports surfaced that the pair had given Christmas gifts to Kelce's Chiefs teammates and their partners. But there was no sign of Taylor Swift and her red, black, gold, and white Chiefs wardrobe present in the stands.

Wherever Swift spent the holiday, she was probably cheering on the Chiefs—just in cozy pajamas or an après-ski sweater instead of a Versace suit or Vivienne Westwood matching set.

She attended the holiday match-up last year at Arrowhead Stadium with her mom, Andrea, and her brother, Austin, in tow. Swift got festive in a Guest in Residence shearling-lined jacket, layered over a Polo Ralph Lauren sweater and a Hill House Home skirt. Prada platform loafers, a satin bow by Jennifer Behr, and her Pat McGrath red lipstick completed the giftable sideline look.

A holiday showing for Swift and Kelce would be even more romantic than her Dec. 25 track "Christmas Tree Farm." But it makes sense that Swift decided to stay home.

The star hasn't attended Chiefs' away games so far this season, on account of her busy Eras Tour schedule (and security concerns). She stopped by Arrowhead Stadium for the first time since concluding her $2 billion-generating tour on Dec. 21, however, watching Travis Kelce defeat the Houston Texans in a cuddly Charlotte Simone crimson faux fur coat and a vintage Chanel bucket hat. Her jewelry stack also included a sentimental game-day touch: a new diamond ring referencing Travis Kelce in its toi et moi garnet and citrine stones, by jeweler Stephanie Gottlieb.

With the Eras Tour wrapped and the Grammy Awards several weeks away, Swift might have an open schedule to attend Kelce's final games in the lead-up to the Super Bowl. But the next time she grants fans' wishes for another appearance might be even sooner. The Golden Globes are coming up quick on Jan. 5, and Swift attended last year in a green sequin Gucci gown to support her pal Selena Gomez. This year, Gomez is doubly nominated for her roles in Emilia Pérez and Only Murders in the Building—so there's a strong chance Swift shows up to cheer her on again.

Otherwise? She might just break her no-away-game policy and travel to Denver, CO, where Travis Kelce and the Chiefs will face the Denver Broncos on the same date.

Barely halfway through her record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift hard-launched her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce from a private box at Arrowhead Stadium. She watched the Chiefs decimate the Chicago Bears (final score: 41-10) in an understated outfit any NFL fan could wear on game day: a Dôen tank top, denim shorts, New Balance sneakers, and a Chiefs windbreaker. The brand behind her jacket's name? New Era.

The "End Game" singer's game-day outfits only leveled up from there. Swift has cheered on Kelce in looks ranging from simple Chiefs crewneck sweatshirts and plaid skirts to a range of designer corsets by Balenciaga, Versace, and Vivienne Westwood. She's gone the distance, too: Earlier this year, the world watched as Swift raced from an Eras concert in Tokyo to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, where she made it time to see Kelce clinch his second Lombardi trophy while wearing a black corset and a braided ponytail.

These looks have all mixed style signatures fans recognize from Swift's album-themed outfits with stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer. Even when she's shopping for number 87 jerseys or garnet-and-gold sweaters, she looks toward women-owned brands, a balance of high-end and accessible labels, and vintage. (Sometimes, she wears all three at once.) Recently, Swift has also embraced 2024's loud luxury trend with a fangirl twist, blending vintage Chanel hats and Louis Vuitton watches with her pro-shop gear and sentimental jewelry.

Swift's impact on the NFL—and game-day outfits—can't be overstated. Affordable pieces (and glitter freckles) she wears to games have a tendency of selling out. By February 2024, Swift's presence alone had increased teenage girls' NFL viewership by 53%; the 2023-2024 season was also the highest-viewed football season by women since the league began collecting audience data back in 2000. At the same time that she's brought more viewers on board with football Sundays, Swift has made the weekly tunnel walk that much more enchanting.

After watching all 20 of Taylor Swift's appearances so far, I've ranked every single game-day outfit the pop star has worn to cheer on the Chiefs. I ordered them on a scale from "classic fan" (think: Chiefs crewnecks, varsity jackets, and under-$150 sneakers) to "designer touchdown" (in the vein of opulent faux fur coats and custom diamond rings that only a celebrity could access), evaluating the designers she chose to wear and the likelihood fans at home could copy the looks themselves.

As a fashion editor and Taylor Swift style expert who's reported on her looks for nearly eight years, I can confirm that all 20 Chiefs game-day outfits show a different side of what Swift has always done best: dressing for a theme and doing so with meaning.

20. Taylor Swift's Dôen Tank Top and New Balance Sneakers

Where were you when Taylor Swift confirmed her relationship with Travis Kelce by accepting his invite to appear at Arrowhead Stadium? I was online, feverishly tracking down her outfit credits. What surfaced online was an outfit every NFL fan has worn to an early-season game at one time or another, with a few trendy additions.

From the ground up, Swift chose a pair of New Balance 550 sneakers, one of 2023's It-shoe styles, in Chiefs colors (red, black, and white). From there, she added a pair of Ksubi denim shorts and a New Era Chiefs windbreaker—plus a white tank top from Dôen. Real fans know Swift also wore Dôen when she shared an Instagram post commemorating "local independent ladies" on the Fourth of July, days before she'd play Arrowhead Stadium on the Eras Tour and start the chain of events leading to her relationship with Kelce. Whether the credit overlap was intentional or not, it was too cute to ignore.

19. Taylor Swift's Chiefs Game Crewneck and Reformation Loafers

In 2024, Taylor Swift doesn't attend many away games. In 2023, she hit several with fellow WAG Brittany Mahomes by her side. This October 22 visit to SoFi Stadium came with Swift's most instantly shoppable look from her Chiefs repertoire. It included a '90s vintage sweatshirt, a pleated miniskirt, Reformation platform loafers, and Sézane socks. Later in the game, she'd change into a pair of Nike Air Force 1s. Naturally, she choose a pair with a bright red swoosh.

While closer inspection revealed that Swift also wore a Cartier necklace and Maria Tash earrings, the overall vibe was collegiate and casual. In other words? It's a Chiefs game outfit her fans could easily copy and paste.

18. Taylor Swift's Chiefs Game WEAR by Erin Andrews Jacket and Balenciaga Bustier

With the exception of her Balenciaga bustier, this Oct. 12, 2023 outfit follows a pattern Swift keeps in mind for several of her Chiefs game ensembles. Her windbreaker comes from sportscaster Erin Andrews' label; her jewelry winks at Travis Kelce with its Chiefs-approved gold and garnet tones. The big headline out of Taylor Swift's trip to Gillette Stadium was her cheerful smile and wave as Patriots fans booed her (and the Chiefs). She got the last laugh when the Chiefs won the game—and when fans clocked just how instructive her outfit was. Even with the base of a custom plaid mini skirt by Rails, Swift kept things mostly accessible in a logo crewneck sweater, knitted Kut the Kit Beanie, and a Mejuri statement ring. Taylor Swift decided to ramp up some of the style signatures from her first season on the NFL sidelines when she returned for round two in September 2024. Attending the Chiefs' home opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5, she returned to her favorite bustier shape (this time, from Versace), styling it with hot pants by Grlfrnd and over-the-knee Giuseppe Zanotti boots. This look wasn't as overtly Chiefs-coded as some of her others: only her jewelry by Howl and Lizzie Mandler explicitly worked in the garnet and gold team colors. Still, her denim-on-denim had a sentimental element: She wore the exact same corset top in a different fabric on one of her earliest NYC dates with Travis Kelce. How sweet!

12. Taylor Swift's Chiefs Game GANT Jacket

Sportswear brand GANT was one of Taylor Swift's most reached-for labels in 2023. While she usually reserved its overcoats for her downtown New York City dinners with Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez, she selected a special one for the Jan. 21 AFC Playoffs earlier this year. Her red and white bomber jacket came from a limited-edition collab between the designer and Kilo Kish. The piece channeled "Ivy League culture" with a preppy cut and Americana colors (red and white) that also happened to vibe nicely with the Chiefs dress code. This outfit earned its spot half-way through my ranking for impact alone. Once Swift commissioned a jacket customized to show off Kelce's name and number, orders for Juszczyk's creations skyrocketed, and she even inked an official deal with the NFL, per CNN.

10. Taylor Swift's Chiefs Game Vintage T-Shirt and Louis Vuitton Bag

Sure, this Chiefs game outfit included flashes of Louis Vuitton jewelry and one thigh-high pair of Giuseppe Zanotti boots. But the hints of sparkle came from deceptively affordable necklaces—one is only $128, the other is $120—and the star of the look was a 1996 vintage T-shirt styled like a dress. That's a styling tip anyone can take home with their oversize tees.

9. Taylor Swift's Chiefs Super Bowl Dion Lee Corset and Area Jeans

Taylor Swift loves a self-reference, and nowhere was that more apparent than her Super Bowl outfit. She winked at some of her earlier Chiefs game appearances throughout her look, starting with a Chiefs bomber jacket from WEAR by Erin Andrews slung over her shoulder. Then came her black Dion Lee corset (a nod to the tops she'd chosen on several sideline occasions) and crystal-lined Area jeans (a parallel to the Area shorts she wore earlier in the season). Christian Louboutin ankle boots, Shay jewelry pendants, and about $10,000-worth of custom Travis Kelce-themed accessories (including a Judith Lieber clutch shaped like a football) completed the trophy-winning look.

Taylor Swift looked pretty as a present attending the Chiefs' 2023 Christmas Day game. For an A-lister, loud luxury is going to church in $ 10,000 worth of leopard prints (like Hailey Bieber, dressed in Toteme and Saint Laurent) or going to dinner in vintage Dolce & Gabbana furs with an equally fuzzy Louis Vuitton bag (like Rihanna). It translated to matching a Chanel flap bag to every sequin, floral, and animal print in your wardrobe (like Blake Lively). And for A-listers, there's a stronger connection between runways and real life than how the other 99.9% dress. Celebrity street style is as much a business as it is pure self-expression. Some street style looks layer on the double-G or -C logos because they're contractually obligated to include them. As luxury sales worldwide start to decline, per Reuters—and spending power for the average shopper decreases with it—designers rely on their most influential ambassadors and walking billboards to ignite desire and maintain interest until the markets rebound and more of us can treat ourselves to luxury bags and shoes.

The loud luxury trend can also be seen through a more straightforward lens: these celebrities are savvy businesswomen who have worked hard for their wealth and want to enjoy it. This is especially true for newly minted billionaires like Swift and Gomez, who seem intent on showcasing that their success and spending power stems directly from their own efforts. And in a post-girlboss, post-cancel-culture internet, they can tune out the "Eat the Rich" criticism online to the sound of their Birkins' charms singing their own little tune.

I found everything from under-$100 cashmere sweaters and sale slippers for replicating your favorite celeb-approved Ugg outfits to classic sweatpants for hibernating. Though I can't confirm the NYFW parties or coffee-flavored beverages, I can confidently report that the actor's desire for designer hasn't wavered an inch. In 2021, she started recreating high-fashion looks with household materials and posting them as quick-cut, under-60-second videos on social media. Her goal? Pure cheeky fun. “I see [the recreation videos] as an extension of my illustrations and a hysterical way to engage with fashion,” she explains. For the absurdist artist, fashion’s charm lies in its inherent silliness.

“Fashion is about imagination—it’s childlike,” Hicks says. “As kids, we turn a cardboard box into a fort. My work abstracts objects in the same playful way. It's magical when you can find that childlike, make-believe imagination as an adult.”

Marie Claire: When did you make the connection between comedy and high-fashion recreations?

Angelica Hicks: When I look at a red carpet or runway, to me, the funniness has always been, 'Oh, this looks like that, but it's not.' So, about four years ago, I just started making videos to explore that idea.

I enjoy the trompe l'oeil nature of a Ferrero Rocher wrapper that approximates what a Schiappareli button looks like. There's also the ridiculousness and comedy in the abstraction of an everyday object, like using an AC vent to do a Louis Vuitton sleeve. That's fun.

When I was younger, kids wanted to either be funny or cool and, to me, being funny was always the best and biggest compliment. So, when I receive comments, like, ‘Oh my God, I really needed to laugh today,’ it makes me so happy. That's the highest praise I can get and when I hear that today, I am like, ‘Yes!’ I mean, making people laugh—is there anything better?

MC: When did your fascination with fashion begin?

AH: My mom was a fashion designer, and her strong sense of style shaped me early on. She taught me that expensive doesn’t always mean better and instilled an appreciation for finding treasures in vintage shops. Some of my earliest memories are of shopping with her and watching her get dressed, which gave me a deep respect for the art of putting together an outfit.

MC: Your video editing is such a key part of your content. How did you discover that format?

AH: I remember doing a still image comparison of a Gucci runway look with a Dr. Jart face mask early on in my videos. This was around when videos were getting big [on social media], and I realized using them would be cool to help [drive home] the joke even more. Not everyone knows what a Dr. Jart face mask is, so if I'm unpackaging it, putting it on, and doing it deadpan, it's an extension of the joke—almost like a mime.

MC: How does an idea take shape?

AH: I begin mapping out a look by walking around my apartment to see what’s available. But sometimes I’ll get an idea of, ‘Okay, well, I really want to use cabbage here.’ So, I’ll have to go out and buy cabbage.

People respond to watching someone eat, so using edible materials is great because I also get a little treat. When I don’t have an edible element, I get comments like, ‘Oh my God, no snack this time!’ So, sometimes I’ll do [videos] where I eat a bit of chocolate even though it’s completely unnecessary for the look, and people seem happier.

MC: What’s your mindset when you step in front of the camera?

AH: I put on my outfits and slip into this confident character. I do my little two-step and wink at the end of the videos. I'm moving confidently, even though my ass is hanging out on the back because the front is all I care about recreating.

MC: What are you wearing when you’re not making clothes from scraps and bedsheets?

AH: I think I'm good at putting prints together, and I wear a lot of them.

I also really like Alix of Bohemia’s designs. They have a very limited run of stuff, and the price point reflects that they are not mass-produced. I really like what the founder, Alix Verley-Pietrafesa, is doing; she’s not following trends.

MC: How has your relationship with designer brands and labels evolved?

When I was younger, I was obsessed with designer things. I would go to secondhand shops and buy items based not on whether they were nice but on their labels. I remember a Marc Jacobs dress in particular. It was okay, but I bought it because it was Marc Jacobs. I was so obsessed with these designer brands—or, more importantly, the idea of them.

I wanted to push back against that entire way of thinking because now, a lot of online fashion content is the same idea—promoting a bag with a label without any real personality behind the content. Now I'm like, "That bag is cool! I’ll make it."

MC: What’s the state of your closet?

AH: I appreciate the Marie Kondo way of doing things. I know it’s really helpful for some people, but I'm sort of the opposite of that. I would never be able to do [a Marie Kondo closet clean out] because I sort of hoard things. My closet is filled with clothes I've owned for years. I have some of my mom's and grandma's old clothes. But everything I have I wear. Even if it's been three years, it'll be recycled back into [my rotation], and I'll eventually start wearing it again.

MC: What’s a recent purchase you’re excited to wear?

AH: I recently got a pair of high-waisted black suit pants that are very long—like on-the-floor long. I've been looking for long pants for a while because I'm a bit tall at five 10 and a half, and I’m tired of suit pants that are ankle swingers.

MC: When you’re not DIYing high-fashion looks, how do you fill your time?

AH: I like The Real Real a lot. Recently, I’ve been making RealReal baskets and then emptying them just for fun

I just read Switch Bitch by Road Dahl, which is a big collection of short stories, and I enjoyed that, and I just finished The Great British Bake Off and was actually shocked at the finale. I also loved Wicked. I saw it twice.

On Dec. 21, the pop star was spotted at a Kansas City Chiefs game in their hometown, wearing a cherry red faux fur coat by Charlotte Simone and a diamond, garnet, and citrine ring by Stephanie Gottlieb. The 14K yellow gold sparkler featured a romantic toi et moi setting, which translates to "you and me" in French.

In the last few years, this style has become the favorite ring setting among fashionistas and Hollywood stars alike. Emily Ratajkowski first kicked off the craze in 2018, with her two-stone engagement ring (which she later turned into "divorce rings"), followed by Ariana Grande and Megan Fox a few years later. The style's original supporter, however, was Jackie Kennedy, who received a diamond-and-emerald engagement ring from President John F. Kennedy.

The toi et moi ring style is identified by its two-stone design, with a gem representing each person in the relationship. In Swift's case, that amounted to a pear-shaped garnet and a cushion-cut citrine stone. According to Stephanie Gottlieb's website, it represents "a timeless symbol of connection, commitment, and elegance."

Though Swift's ring is undoubtedly a dedication her boyfriend, it's certainly not a pre-nuptial signifier. The "commitment" being represented is actually that of Travis Kelce to the Kansas City Chiefs—ruby and gold are the football team's signature colors (the diamonds are just for fun).

This isn't the first time Swift has polished up her game-day outfits with thematic jewelry. The "Bejeweled" singer also owns heart-shaped garnet earrings by David Yurman, a Retrouvai ruby and diamond heirloom ring, and Anita Ko ruby drop hoop earrings, among other Chiefs-coded pieces.

Alex Mill Holiday Things Claes Anorak in Taffeta

Admittedly, I did not buy this. I was gifted it by my friend and unexpected style twin Becky Malinsky. If you aren’t familiar with Becky, she’s a former fashion editor and current stylist (and newsletter writer) with impeccable taste. We were junior editors together back at Glamour in the mid 2000s and always showed up to the office wearing similar pieces, styled in completely different ways. Lopez, her daughter, and the Himalayan Croc Birkin were seen shopping at Ralph Lauren and the Uniquities Consignment House antique store in Beverly Hills on Saturday, Dec. 21, and, for some people, the Birkin sighting might have been the most exciting part of this sentence. That's because the bag, in addition to being ultra-expensive, is also ultra rare—luxury auction house Madison Avenue Couture has called it the "holy grail" of all Birkin styles, and it ranks rarest among Lopez's personal Birkin collection.

The Himalayan Croc Birkin just naturally takes center stage in any outfit. That doesn't mean it isn't also worth taking a moment to appreciate the rest of Lopez's last-minute shopping look, including her ankle-length snow white, oversized coat, and white sunglasses.

Lopez is making "doing last-minute holiday shopping while carrying a rare and expensive bag" her niche lately. On Friday, the Unstoppable actress was spotted shopping at the Brentwood Country Mart carrying what appeared to be the navy crocodile-skin Hermès Kelly bag that she picked up on Black Friday during her Rodeo Drive Hermès shopping spree.

For that outing, Lopez paired the reportedly $80,000 bag with an oversized gray Coach winter coat, baggy jeans, and white sneakers, for a casual Christmas shopping look.

So, yeah, just another reminder that Lopez is both "just like us" (shopping in baggy jeans and white sneakers) and not "just like us" (while carrying bags that cost more than most people's cars...or houses).

Swift also appeared be wearing her go-to NARS "Morocco" lipstick, a warm cinnamon-colored shade she's been wearing for years.

Prior to her coat-clad Chiefs game appearance, Swift was last seen at her Eras Tour wrap party in Kansas City earlier week, where she wore a $4,290 Balmain mini dress styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer and diamond drop earrings by DeBeers (which were valued at $36,000, according to the jeweler's website).
